Best 2004 Tanning Lotion
The Best 2004 Tanning Lotion
What was the best tanning lotion 2004 and does it stand
to reason that the same lotion will be considered the
best this year? It all depends, it turns out, on whom
you ask. Several beauty magazines did their year-end
product reviews fro 2004 and had surprisingly different
results in terms of the best 2004 tanning lotion.
Cosmopolitan, InStyle, and Vogue, for instance all named
different traditional and sunless tanning lotions as the
best in terms of ingredients, price, and results. When
top authorities like these, reporting on scientifically
determined findings, can’t seem to agree, what’s a
consumer to do?
The best selling tanning lotion of 2004 was,
surprisingly, Banana Boat, a relative newcomer compared
to the power players like Aloha and Australia Gold
(Banana Boat has been around fro a while actually, but
has been making its mark quietly and is not sold
exclusively in salons and online like the others), and
its success is seen as surprising by some, but not all.
Banana Boat is sold a friendlier price point than the
fancy-dancy salon formulas, but has a reputation for
working very well. These facts, coupled with widespread
availability (it is sold in grocery stores, drug stores,
discount shops, almost everywhere).
Based on these results, it is possible that Banana Boat
was in fact the best 2004 tanning lotion, and it is
poised to claim the title for this year as well. Of
course, can anyone really decide whether one brand of
tanning lotion really is “the best” or is this too
subjective and dependant on personal opinion? It may be.
In any given case, the “best” anything is going to be
the product that works best for the individual and suits
his or her needs better than any other. What one person
considers the best, another may hate with a purple
passion. It’s all, as they say, relative.
For the sake of argument, let’s say that Banana Boat –
the overall brand, not an individual product of theirs –
was the best 2004 tanning lotion. What next? What could
possibly happen this year to knock the banana off its
boat and elevate Bain de Soleil or Aloha or Joe’s
tanning lotion to the position of “best 2005 tanning
lotion?” It has entirely to do with personal preference
and opinion and almost nothing to do with any one lotion
truly being better than another.
If you’re interested in tanning you probably used one or
more tanning lotions during the year 2004. If so, think
back to how they worked for you and how well you liked
them. Did you prefer one over another? Maybe you only
used one exclusively all year long. Perhaps you have a
favorite tanning lotion that you use all the time. If
so, do you really need an internet writer to tell you
which was the best 2004 tanning lotion? Probably not.
You’re more likely to continue using your personal
choice again and again regardless of which one a web
site tells you is or was the best. And that’s how it
should be in a society based on freedom of choice.
