High Pressure Tanning Bed
Why Tan On A High Pressure Tanning Bed?
Are you considering tanning on a high pressure tanning
bed? Are you wondering what is the difference between a
high pressure tanning bed and a regular one, and how
does it affect me, and what are the benefits? The world
of tanning has gotten to be a very big business, and as
improvements are made on tanning beds and its
accessories, it can be a little confusing to keep up
with it all! Read on and you might consider a tanning
bed with high pressure.
Don’t worry you won’t be squished if you choose to tan
in high pressure tanning beds. The higher pressure
factor comes into play with the bulbs that create your
tan when tanning at your local salon or at home. The
differences between a conventional bed and the newer
high pressure tanning beds is that the UVB lights are
allowed just enough penetration to help the skin produce
melanin production by UVA lights. UVA lights oxidize the
melanin in your skin and then it turns brown. In the
older models the proportion of both UVA and UVB lights
were much stronger and about equal in output of light.
The dangers of UVB lights are well known and documented
in the medical information today. The rays from the
lights are creators of skin cancer and have aging
effects. Granted you were in more control on how long
you tanned in the conventional bed, but the danger was
still there because you over estimated how much your
skin could take and then found yourself burned from
tanning bed use. The new bulbs in the high pressure
tanning beds have limited over exposure, and because of
this you have an extremely low burning factor. Not only
will you tan faster it is longer lasting tan, and fewer
tanning lines and drying to your skin.
Also, if you’re fair skinned such as a red head or
natural blonde the benefit of not burning will lessen
your chance of skin cancer lesions for the future. Less
time on the hard rock acrylic bed means you are much
more comfortable and relaxed too. When you are in your
40s you will not look like a woman or man that is
approaching their 60s, and have to run from every camera
in sight.
In today’s hurried world time is of the essence, and
that is one other benefit you get from using a high
pressure tanning bed. Because you tan in less time,
about 4-5 sessions and it takes less to maintain your
tan, only about 3-4 sessions per month you will get to
the other things you need to do and save money in the
process! Costs per tanning session can be very expensive
especially if you are a regular tanner and, not just a
seasonal bird of the tanning bed process. This is
something to keep in mind when choosing a salon with or
without a high pressure tanning bed.
What ever method of tanning you choose make sure you’re
informed about all the medical risks associated with the
use of tanning at all. Certainly less exposure to the
harmful UVB rays associated with tanning in a
conventional bed or out side sun tanning are cut
dramatically, but choices do, equate to risk. Talk with
your doctor about sunning on a high pressure tanning bed
if you have any concerns. Remember it’s your body and
future health. Choose wisely so you will enjoy life for
now and for years to come.
